Who we are

Southern Cross Computer Systems Pty Ltd (ABN 18 600 660 142) is an Australian IT services and equipment provider based at 9/30 Prohasky Street, Port Melbourne VIC 3207. In this policy, "we", "us" and "SCCS" mean Southern Cross Computer Systems. We handle personal information in line with the Australian Privacy Principles under the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth).

What we collect

We only collect personal information you choose to give us through this website. That happens when you:

• book a capability call or a school IT health check
• request a resource, such as our readiness checklist
• apply for trade pricing
• send us a message through the contact form

Depending on the form, that information includes your name, work email address, organisation, phone number and role, plus anything you write in a message field. Like most websites, our hosting provider also keeps standard server logs (such as IP addresses and pages requested) for security and reliability.

This website does not run advertising trackers, and we do not buy, sell or trade personal information.

How we use it

We use the details you give us to do the thing you asked: reply to your enquiry, book your call or health check, send you the resource you requested, or set up your trade pricing. If you download a resource, we may follow up about it. Every email we send you includes a straightforward way to say no thanks, and we stop.

Who we share it with

Your information is shared only with the service providers that run this website and our email, and only so they can do those jobs for us. We do not give your information to anyone else unless you ask us to or the law requires it.

How long we keep it

We keep enquiry and lead information for as long as it is useful for the purpose you gave it to us, and then we remove it. If you become a client, your information is kept as part of our client records.

Access, correction and questions

You can ask us at any time what personal information we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it. Email hello@sccs.com.au or call 1300 722 727 and a real person will sort it out.

If you are not happy with how we have handled your personal information, tell us first and we will do our best to put it right. You can also contact the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner (oaic.gov.au).
